ABOUT THIS SYSTEM

System Overview

The Aluprof MB-SR50N curtain wall system is a versatile and modern European-engineered mullion-transom façade solution designed for a wide range of architectural projects, from lightweight curtain walls to roofs and skylights. Its profile geometry allows for narrow visible grid lines, high strength, and long-lasting performance, while providing flexibility in structural layout and glazing options. MB-SR50N offers excellent air tightness (AE 1200 Pa) and water tightness (RE 1200–1500 Pa), helping to protect building interiors against drafts and moisture. The façade system also provides high wind load resistance (up to 2400 Pa), ensuring structural performance in challenging weather conditions.

High-performance European curtain wall system MB-SR50N

What is MB-SR50N curtain wall system?

MB-SR50N is an aluminium mullion-transom curtain wall system designed to create attractive, durable façades for modern buildings. It enables the construction of lightweight suspended or filled curtain walls, roofs, skylights, and other glazed structures.
The system offers a wide range of mullion and transom profiles that can be combined in many ways, providing architects freedom to realise complex façade shapes with narrow visible grid lines and visually harmonious structures.
The curtain wall system includes continuous thermal breaks made of insulating HPVC and profiled EPDM glazing gaskets, which provide effective thermal insulation and help minimise condensation on aluminium components.
Yes, the system supports a wide range of glass sizes and thicknesses, including large insulated units, and can handle significant infill weights thanks to advanced accessories and connection components.
Variations of the system include versions with enhanced thermal performance (e.g., MB-SR50N HI and MB-SR50N HI+), semi-structural EFEKT façades, and systems that integrate different materials or wood and steel profiles, allowing broad design and performance choices.
